Description Here are the Fraggle Five (Wembley, Gobo, Red, Mokey, & Boober). They were made by Tomy. I got these for Christmas back in the mid 1980s.

Other than Wembley's hair missing on top of his head and Mokey's eyes a little crossed, they're as close to original as I've ever seen a Fraggle plush. Also, these 1980s plush Fraggles that I have are suppose to be true to their original size from Fraggle Rock.

Wow, I had those Tomy dolls. (Gobo, Red and Boober) With my allowance I bought Boober. I think I was so close into tears when Gobo's eyes broke (right in the middle) and my mom glued it back together. He's the one that I mostly played with. Then I received the other Hasbro Fraggles. I had everyone of them besides Boober and Matt. Dang it, I wished I kept them all. But, I didn't.

That's cool you got Gobo repaired. Sorry to hear you no longer have them. I had to keep mine, cause I love Fraggle Rock too much to let them go.

I wish I did kept them. But, having male dogs in the house as a kid and then Mom told me,"They peed on your dolls." I'm like,"Oh, great!" I don't think we could even wash them.

I'm adult now and I still love Fraggle Rock I remember when I was a kid and visiting my grandparents in Kansas and we went to this store or the mall (something) and I remember they had "Uncle Matt Fraggle" I looked at Mom, "Please?" Nope, she didn't bought him. One of these days, I need to start collecting. I do still have the books, and a Gobo stamp.

Yeah, male dogs tend to do that for some reason.

I never got the Uncle Matt Fraggle plush either.

Yep, they are friends till the end.

Yeah, no other big companies have ever been able to reproduce close to original like those Fraggles made by Tomy. I'm still so happy I was able to get them all for Christmas in the mid 80s.

I've had my Hasbro fraggles ( except Boober ) since the late 80s. Boober didn't show up until '98 I think... along with the Tomys & Pedgrees. I went fraggle-collecting crazy when I first got onto eBay in the late 90s.

Since you got both Hasbro & Tomy, which one do you think looks closer to the original in comparison? I've seen your pictures, yes, but still, live and in-person kind of view, what's your opinion?

I've said before, I'll say again... I LOVE looking at your Fraggle-collection! Wish I had that kind of cash flow.

The clothing for the Tomy ones is almost perfect... but their heads... well, it's taken me a long time to warm up to their heads.
The Hasbro ones are closer to scale and look more cute.

I actually took the clothes from a Tomy Gobo & put them ( somehow (( I think it was a bit of work )) onto my original Hasbro Gobo.

One of these days, I need to take some updated pics of the collection, cuz most of the stuff here is quite a few years old now.

Yeah, the Tomy ones, their eyes are way too big and their head is small to the size of their bodies.

Updated pictures, cool. I look forward to seeing them one day.

I have pics of the Tomy prototypes I think. The final versions just didn't add up.
