Description
I drew the original for this by crayon pencil and crayons. Decided to draw this digital to see how it would turn out.Boober enjoys some quiet time by taking a moment to relax, watch, and listen to the peaceful dripping of water in a nearby cave.

For now, I have to settle for that kind of sorta fur look, but I hope to eventually learn how to draw it or get GIMP to give them a better "fur" look. Just have to find some extra spare time that I can play around with the different GIMP features.

It certainly has the depth of layering that fur has I'd be absolutely lost if I ever attempted something like that with photoshop

Thank You. Yeah, it definitely takes some time to get it looking like fur(sortof). Still experimenting with how to give it more of a shaggy look and it not take forever.

Being the first time I've drawn something likes this on my PC and my first time dealing with what colors I wanted to use for Boober and the type of brushes, went through a bunch, I'd say a few hours at least going through trial and error. Hopefully next time I do something of Boober, it won't take as long, now that I have an idea what colors/brushes look good.

The way it looks, if you used Corel Painter, I could recommend a brush. I did a couple pieces last year to go into that same look for detail. Dots not lines, but same idea.

I'm using GIMP and definitely going to continue experimenting with brushes. Fraggle fur has a shaggy look, so I hope to eventually get it closer to looking like that. But for now... got to start somewhere and hopefully get better at it.

I bet the water makes him think of washing his laundry.

Could be. That and we often see Boober finds joy in the many things most Fraggles find boring anyway.

That's what makes Boober interesting. He doesn't think like the average fraggle.
