This is a beautiful piece, and I appreciate the perspective greatly. I also like that the background isn't just a plain color and that it harmonizes with the owl without being overbearing.

The distinction between the feathers is very nice, though, in some places (such as the white feathers toward the owl's chest), they could be more naturally 'feather-shaped'; I am mostly referencing the squareness at the tips of some of them.

I can't be sure if this is correct without seeing an actual owl, but the feathers just outside the disc of its face on the owl's left/the viewer's right might be going in a wrong direction. In order to solve this problem, if indeed there is one, I would make fewer feathers visible and/or change the slope of the owl's face to be more gradual on that side, and then follow the new face path with the feathers.

Perhaps the eyes are just a little bit... "buggy", for lack of a better word. The easiest way I think to fix that would be to shade just a little darker on the feathers lining the perimeter of the eye, and on the outermost ring of the eye itself (where it's orange). However, I must say that I like the glassiness of the eyes a lot, and the catchlight in both of them gives the owl a 'personality'.

Something I really appreciate is the depth and color variance of the feathers. Creatures in nature are not often monochrome, and you've captured this beautifully.

Anything else I could possibly add would be superfluous (and I'm already scraping the bottom of the barrel for any issues here), as this is truly an exceptional piece of art! I apologize for the extreme length of this critique; I just had a lot to say about your work. Keep drawing!
