Description From Shadow of the Colossus. Still experimenting with this style; this is the first time I've used Paint for anything other than tiny pixel-by-pixel images.

Interesting style! I think it came out pretty good and consistent.

Amazing! I like how in this, you can just see how big they are compared to your character!

No (well, not on my part); it's based on the the game Shadow of the Colossus: [link]

Interesting story, I hadn't heard of this...

You may like it. Clark Ashton Smith is a definite rival of H.P. Lovecraft. (Look for "The Immeasurable Horror" and "The Vaults of Yoh-Vombis" as well on that site.

This is so cool... Seeing as you didn't do it pixel-by-pixel... how DID you do it?

While pictures I've done before in Paint have been made by zooming in and marking each pixel individually - like piecing together a mosaic or a jigsaw - here I used less precise, sweeping mouse movements. It's like comparing drawing with a ruler, stencil, compass and graph paper to drawing freehand with no guidance.

That would make a fine vector art.

I guess it would, unfortunately I don't know anything about making vectors!

That's not bad for paint. :3 Paint is a real bitch to use sometimes too. I'm impressed.

Paint's just got limitations you need to work round. The tools are clumsy and the default colours are shitty as hell, but if you set your sights low for something simple - like here, a silhouette - it can work pretty well.

I've done a lot of work with paint myself... I've got a portrait in my gallery somewhere of my buddy David that I did in paint. That's how I know that it's a pain in the ass to work with. :/
