Haha, more Christmas Bills! I’m not sure whether he’s supposed to be pleased or hurting from standing so still, or even scaredly expecting what decoration comes next, but it’s bound to be hard to tell given his only facial feature is an eye. Despite not knowing what his expression means, it still gives an air of his distinct personality. It’s pretty easy to end up with a Bill that stares blankly when he’s meant to convey an emotion, so I think you did a good job.

The colors are beautiful. The pastel tones, with even Bill’s yellow being subdued a bit, fit into the calm, jolly, Christmas atmosphere. This is the kind of pieces that make me wish we never discovered his villain status. But back to the picture – I love the subtle cell-shading. It almost sounds like an oxymoron to the cell-shading novice I am, yet you pulled it off nicely.

I’ve got only two points to critique: first, the star. It doesn’t follow the angle of Bill’s body and is instead turned directly to the viewer. It seems a bit jarring to me, I think it’d look better if it followed the perspective. It’d give the piece a better sense of depth.

Second, the outline. I like how it’s not all black but a reddish brown at places. The places, though, look a bit random. One of Bill’s hands, for instance, has as red outline while the other one is black. It’d be great if you could keep the idea of two-colored outline but saved the red as a highlight – so the parts where shadows would be would get black outline and where the light falls, the outline would be red.

Despite these tiny flaws, the piece is still adorable. Keep up the great job, and good luck with your next drawings!

Aw! So cute! I'd love to also see Bill try to hang an ornament on Dipper, ya know, cuz he's Pine Tree? XD *gaps* THEY COULS BE CHRISTMAS-TREE BUDDIES! WHERE'S MABLE WHEN YA NEED HER?!?!?!
