Ohhhh, now I get it—why some fan art of the Hulk (however well-made) looks...off. He doesn’t look right (to me) without that brow and mouth! (The “haircut” is negotiable!)

It's based on the original Jack Kirby look. Specially that brow, mouth and hair. That's what makes him "Kirby" looking...

Most true fans appreciate that over anything else.
