I heard that apatosaurus louisae is probably brontosaurus louisae. But anyways, nice sketch

Cool! One question: I hated to upset, pressure, and bother you but, was this OK for me to borrow and make it colored, and so I can give credit to you?

I always thought after "Saurian: Hell Creek", there had to be a "Saurian: Morrison". Now for the Triassic one to complete the trilogy, that could be Chinle or Ischigualasto, whatever is more well-known
Never heard of Amphicotylus, is there any difference between it and Goniopholis?

The subspecies of Goniopholis has been reclassifed as Amphicotylus.

Looking awesome, man. Can't help thinking the "Saurian II" thought Vlad brought up.
If so, hell yeah.

Camptosaurus aphanocetes is actually now called Uteodon aphanocetes.

I suggest in the future that you do even the quickest check of the literature before trying to make corrections.

Can you please clarify what you said, Tom?
PS: I'll try to get Saurian as soon as it comes out! It looks pretty good; so keep up the good work.
PPS:I fucking adore your art style.Β

Before you go around trying to correct other artists, do a search of the current literature to make 100% sure you are correct. Otherwise you may make incorrect "corrections" and look silly in the process as you have done here.
Thank you for your support, and I know your intentions were good.

Those are either bosses or spikes; a currently in-writing study by Matt Wedel and Mike Taylor has found that the neck and cervical spines of ApatosaurusΒ and kin were developed for combat, and so may have sported bony bosses or actual spikes for use in fighting.
Which is probably how they got around having a massive weak spot for predatory animals to exploit, since they lack the enormous front legs of other non-diplodocid sauropods to make it harder for predators to get a grip on the long neck.

Well, the niche partitioning both between sauropods and giant theropods ought to be interesting...

Morrison dinos!
I also think Saurian should get a Morrison themed sequel when it gets successful enough!

Looks like preliminary concept design sketches for "Saurian II - Morrison" to me. Nice sketches! Are these large rectangular scales based on the titanosaur embryo skin impressions from Argentina?

Indeed that is what they are based on, well spotted.
