Description This is my third try at Superman. I'm just not as good with Drawing men as I am with women so it takes me a while to make a good Man

Love your work. I am a huge Superman fan and I really dig this. The suit looks a little too purple for me, but still good!

Niiice I guess by the colors, belt buckle, and \S/ style, he is Brandon Routh Superman.

Not really. Routh's suit had two reds on it (maroon for the overall red, a brighter red for the inside of the cape), and the S-buckle has been an on-and-off thing in the comics since 1941. And the blues and yellows on Superman's costume have never been consistent; no two colorists do them the same way, especially with computer coloring these days. The only real Routh connections I see are the emblem design and suit textures. Otherwise this is all stuff the comic books have been doing for decades.

If anything, this is a Superman that reflects the entirety of his history, rather than being just one incarnation or the other. And I think that's for the best, really.

Actually I've been a fan of Sups for years now and the \S/ in the buckle is new, he has never "advertised" himself like that!

The colors you say, Routh's was always dark, which has been the main critic by everybody, Superman uses the "primary colors" and vivid colors, not maroon, or brown or wine red. When in the movies the reds and blues got more vivid was because of the lighting in that scene! I know what you mean about hues on the comics and media that change by artist, but one thing is consistent: red is red, blue is blue, yellow is yellow!

Here is a link to an article about all of this: [link]

The S in the buckle dates back to 1941. HJ Ward did paintings of Superman with such a belt buckle, one of which was reprinted a number of times and was used as the cover of one of the Superman annual issues. Further, the S-buckle was used in the Earth-2 stories of old. It's not a new feature on the suit at all.

Further, that link you sent proves me right in every respect. If you were trying to prove me wrong, you didn't succeed.

No I'm not trying to prove you wrong, I'm just saying the S in the buckle was only done in a painting nothing else, no comic book had it, read the article, don't believe me fine, don't really care, I'm not here to fight over nothing.

The colors is the same, don't believe fine, don't care. Only reason Routh was dark it's because now every movie has to be dark... fill with violence and blood to sell, forget story, or development, now a movie has to be fill with 2hrs of punches, kicks, explosions, destruction, dark environment and suffering to sell.

i don't think he'd be giving a thumbs up either but when you usually make a fist in that position your thumb is visible. Right now it looks kind of weird. i'm just trying to be helpful. Otherwise, it's a nice pose.

This is pretty good but he needs a thumb on his right hand.
