It really is a shame that Tseng always seems to get the short end of the stick with regards to...well most everything. A pity he didn't get much more air-time in game and...other avenues (okay, so maybe in Last Order) but in everything...(certain cell' games included) all you ever see the poor guy weild is a bloody 'cell phone'. Come on! I'm sure he didn't reach the post of being the leader of the Turks by being able to speed-dial. So. Here's my take on his possible weapons-- guns. Guns I tell you. It suits his personality...(Temper?)And the way that I see him using it...think...Christian Bale (Preston) in Equilibrium. (If you haven't seen it, go see it...if you're uhm, old enough for R-rated flicks.) In summary: Gun-Katas. My vision of Tseng kicks major gun-fu ass. Before anyone asks me too, yes those are materia set in his matching guns. Yes I picked out four for him. (Combo1: Time & Restore, Combo2: Added Effect & Fire). Yes I am a FFVII geek.
For those new to FFVII and came in with the movie Advent Crisis or what have you-- he's wearing the in-game Turk coloured suit. Blue. I prefer the new 'black' myself, but I felt in the mood for some colour. If I get bored, 'desaturate' works just as nicely. He also looks messy because I wanted it.

It's such a shame Tseng appears in the game and movie so little, I'd like to see him more. It's nice to see how you've given a form to his personality and expressed it in your artwork. For FF7 geeks like you (and me), it's a nice fact that those are materias in his weapons, and it's really an interesting detail. It gives the artwork a deeper meaning and the work is clearly more than just a quick sketch since there is an idea behind this. I like his dynamic pose, especially how his hands are placed looks really cool. I really love the way you draw clothes - all the details make watching your artworks a pleasure, you draw all the folds so well. I like how the coloring makes this look like a painting. Tseng's not one of my favorites, but I like this artwork a lot anyway and you did justice to him. A lot of justice.

I've always thought the same thing myself -- all Tseng gets is a cell phone? Seriously? Anyway, this is a nice piece. I especially like the way you did his face, although I do think, given the dynamic pose, perhaps a more intense expression would have be warranted. Still, I suppose you could say it fits his serious, business-oriented nature. All around nice work as always.

I didn't image Tseng as much of a fighter. Though the idea of the Turks using Gun-Kata style techniques is very awesome. Add into that the Time and Added Effect-Fire materia, and you have a hell of a gunfight
