Thanks. An early experiment in the explosive shards look.

It looks destructive. I agree with Martsen79 though, it is a little different for you. Kind of a broken glass at twilight thing going on. The black background sets it off as usual. ^_^ Beautiful.

You're welcome! ^o^

martsen79 [2005-10-25 15:35:22 +0000 UTC]

Very different for you. I like this - it looks like the instant that someone has thrown a rock at a window and the glass has all just flown out. I've never seen Apophysis do something like this.

TomWilcox In reply to martsen79 [2005-10-26 02:00:20 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Done with Apophysis Z. I am submitting a new image tomorrow that is also an abstract (looks fairly 3D). I really like it - quite 'explosive". It is called "Break Point". Almost gave up on it but it finally came together.

Best regards, Tom

Thanks Barb! Yeah, this is from Apo "Z". It is very cool version with several nice new variations.

Welcome, Tom. I am still using Apo 2.02, I think!!! Perhaps I'll have to try the newer one!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TomWilcox In reply to teddybearcholla [2005-10-25 21:22:39 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. Only thing is, I can't display the .flame files on 2.02 because it doesn't have recognition of some of the new variations. At least I guess that's what happening, not sure.

teddybearcholla In reply to TomWilcox [2005-10-26 13:12:02 +0000 UTC]

That sounds like a major problem...perhaps I won't try the new one, I'll just stick with the one I have for awhile... maybe you could note sya, or one of the other apo artists and see if they have the same problem.

Hi Barb,
Yeah, seems to be a lot of talk about viewing in Apo 2.02. But it is very cool. I have 3 different Apos on 3 computers here.

Hi Tom, LOL!!! I guess I don't need to worry about you having a prob with the new apo then!!! 3 on 3 computers...what will you do when there is a 4th and 5th apo!!!

TomWilcox In reply to teddybearcholla [2005-10-27 02:50:02 +0000 UTC]

I just have different versions whatever there was when I added them (2 laptops have reg Apo; desktop has Apo Z.

So you can really have 3 renders going at once!!! Kool!!

TomWilcox In reply to teddybearcholla [2005-10-27 12:06:53 +0000 UTC]

Well, often 2 at once but I have Apo on both laptops because I don't always know which one I'll take to the coffee shop.

I just moved to Apophysis Z. It has some new variations. Since I just installed it, don't ask how I did what. I only have a couple of hours on it. I am at the same level as anyone starting with it. I'm not in a position to five any advice or info on it yet.

amazing work with apophysis! i didn't think that could be possible in apophysis; i guess that's the disparity between user levels in action

TomWilcox In reply to the-reaper [2005-10-21 16:42:07 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. I used Apophysis Z for this. Don't ask me how to get it; clicked a link on someone's site on Renderosity.
