Yeah, string theory is pretty amazing and difficult to grasp. I saw a piece on public TV recently and wanted to do an image like this. I don't fully understand a lot of it.

Thanks a lot. This piece started from a previous piece I did awhile ago, "A New Tomorrow". I am revisiting some of my older pieces to see what I can do with them. I worked with the triangles a lot with this but it came together quit easily. Some times I can spend hours and hours and at other times it can develop quite quickly. I played with lots of gradients but decided on this because I liked the glow and I liked the way the gradient illuminated the "strings". It's always tempting to be more colorful but in the end settled for a more reserved palette.

This is great Tom, my favourite work of yours - I love how it goes from distinct lines to the mass of colour in the centre.
