I could see the untapped potential of the plot just by looking at the characters. A big shame it never took off. Perhaps I should make a Wacky Races HeadCannon of my own.

Good news: Wacky Races got a reboot on Boomerang channel and app with old and new characters in it.
Bad News: It focus on slice of life parts other than races around the world.

The best part of the pilot was seeing the new Mean Machine (for me)
Holy crap, that car was awesome; it was cool before, but damn.
And Cartoon Network didn't pick it up WHY???
Instead, we have to live with the semi-piece of crap of a game known as "Wacky Races Crash and Dash", where you can't play as Dastardly and Muttley
