The famous Schwere Gustav....31 inch (80 cm). Needed two sets of rails to move. My dad in WW2 off loaded supplies from his merchant ship at Anzio beachhead while under the shells from Anzio Anne ....a Krupp K5 rail gun. He said you could hear the shell going over which was for you a good thing. It however sucked were it landed. It had a rocket propelled shell in addition to a regular powder charged round. What I found interesting was the shell were pre-rifled to the fit the barrel. Cut down on friction extending barrel life. But it could only fire for a short time as the barrel needed to cool. The Gustav could only fire 14 or so rounds a day......it took nearly a hour to load.
