Description
This is an image I did for myself, to make a print out of to hang in my new place. I seriously had fun making this. I kind of lost myself in time, when I made this. I used SSS(sub surface scattering), for the first time in a awhile. Its a long render process, but fun to do.I put alot of time into this, and when making an image@ the size of 3000X4500 is time staking. Gotta love multi-pass.
Well I hope you all like it as much as I do.
Enjoy

Pwetty! It looks vaguely like a piece of foil with a butterfly on it, bits of women's underwear, and a lot of ribbons. The lighting makes me picture a big huge hall where an emperor or someone sits.

It's beautiful. The colors are amazing and I love how it seems to come up out of the darkness and into the light. The curves and shapes really go together, great work.

smooth... i like the lighting on this piece!
this is my first coment in over 3 months.... this is astonishing.. have u tryed symbiont shaders? should add the missing touch to the image.. we should definatelly collab on a piece soon... i cant catch you on msn. the material used is very nice and the SSS intrigues me.. what is it? where can i find info on it? i've been kinda away from GFX since im tuning my Opel Corsa to make it a show-car and it need's a lot of work. get on msn biath!

Of course i know of simbiont bro lol...I've used them for years, I just mainly use them for backgrounds or landscapes. And SSS=Sub Scattering Surface. Its knew to c4d since 9, but other apps like maya and 3dsm have had it awhile. Its tricky to use man.
Go to [link] and do a search for SSS. Way to hard a concept to explain.

Thanks for the comment bro.
Multi-pass is an option in c4d where you can save the render as a .PSD file and have every element such as atmosphere and ambient and reflection, background, specular, radiosity ect..... on there own layers.
It's nice for color enhancements.

i like the way it is crawling out of the darkness. the darkness makes this piece striking! it leads the eye to focus on the top and slowly focus on the rest that is towards the bottom. i like that. GREAT JOB!!! instant !!!
