Hey hey hey!!Finally finished my art-trade with my mate
Sorry it's took so long buddy! Hopefully the end result will be worth it ^_^
So Yuten wanted me to draw a poster/collage of Lok and Roken's rematch after Lok won in the OC Burst Tournament. Roken has now grown wise to Lok's powers and has trained, striving to beat him. Lok doesn't rest on his laurels however, the veteran Saiyan constantly trains his body to keep pushing to and beyond the limit.
Here, Roken and Lok have each got a bust of how they both look in base forms. Top left, Roken is in his Deity Super Saiyan Form and charging up his 'Deity Kamehameha'. I tried my best to get it how Yuten wanted it to look but my skills on beams only stretch so far. And bottom right, Lok is in Super Saiyan Black Star mode and is appearing out of a wormhole he has created with his Black Star powers. Remember he can travel between the realms of the living and the dead as well as other people or objects. Here he has ripped a hole with the warp-points on his fingers and is flying out of the vortex ready to attack. I wanted to try and make the wormhole look almost glass-like, hence why the bottom half of his body you see is so distorted.
I wanted to try out a few new things with lighting and trying to improve my skills on hands. I'm still not quite there I'll admit but I'll keep trying
So guys, who do you think would win in this epic rematch? Will Roken get even or will Lok still hold the edge? I'd like to think it would be a close-call either way. Let me know what you guys think ^_^

I've already redesigned a new hand for him but I'll reveal sometime in the future
His current artificial hand is alien technology from when he was travelling as a teenager, the metal is a compound bio-metal that reacts with his skin and Ki and he can detach it at any time, the port that's implanted in his arm is actually connected to his nervous system so he's just gotten used to living with it ^_^

man I'm still loving that form you gave lok, so badass! The white hair with those eyes look so perfect. Β It's very unique and it's nothing like super saiyan 4. ( I don't have anything against ssj4 but most made up forms look like it.) Β That's how super saiyan god should've looked lol.Β I'm curious, how long can he stay in that form?Β

I'm glad you like this form! ^_^ I know what you mean, I'm not a big fan of the SSJ4 form or any variations on it. I don't mind what some artists have created, but I do think it's overused
Lok can't use the Blackstar ability for long because of the chance of his body being taken over. He can only use it for a maximum of around 30 minutes. He can't use it for a while once his times up. He has to 'recharge' it ^_^
Lmao! I'm glad you think it looks like the Phantom Zone! That's what inspired me to do the form 
Hmm, I'd say it would be a fairly even fight. But these aren't their final forms. Roken still has one more transformation and Lok can still go SSJ3

Haha I'm a big dc fan too, love all kinds of stuff from there especially good old batman and superman. I grew up with all the awesome dcau shows, batman the animated series,batman beyond,justice league, and static shock. They were so awesome. Β And defiantly true the battle could go either way and dang! That would be one destructive battle! lol. Β

Yeah I believe in balance and natural order etc. It really pisses me off when you get people who create OC's that 'cannot be beaten by anybody else' because it's not how things work in real life. For every strength there's a weakness.
Yeah I'm mainly a Batman fan, have been since the animated series first came out. I was only 4 or 5, I've been hoooked ever since. It's only since I've was a teenager where I expanded my horizons and became hooked on the DC Universe. I think what appeals to me the most is that DC; even though it's a comic; seems a little more grown-up and grittier than Marvel. I remember my friend tried to explain to me once about the whole 'Superior Spiderman' storyline (I don't know if you know it) and it just shocked me how lazy and a little childish that was compared to the DC comics I normally read.
And I love all the shows too, all the cartoons, even the Green Lantern animated series ^_^ I'm currently stoked for the Flash Series, along with the new season of Arrow and the Gotham series that's coming out.

Yeah mary sue's are never fun, I don't even mind powerful characters just balance them out or make them have major flaws. Or make sure there's a very good reason there so powerful. Β Goku had to train with gods, gravity chambers, in death, and in hyperbolic chambers to get that powerful, not everyone can be broly so your character better have some good training if he's that powerful. Β
Defiantly, I obviously still love marvel too (honestly who didn't enjoy the avengers movie? lol) Dc has some amazing stories too like the killing joke, the dark knight returns, for the man who has everything, and many more
Never heard about the superior spiderman story, but I'll have to look it up sometime

I completely agree. I hate it when you see people put up that their OC's power level is '10,000,000,000,000' even before they go Super Saiyan... I hate the numbers game, it's so lazy.
Adding a weakness or a flaw to a persons power makes them seem more real if you know what I mean, it's more believable.
I'll be honest, I've never been a Marvel fan overall. As a kid, I only liked X-Men and Spiderman and even then, they seem somewhat detached from Marvel at times. I just don't like their stories compared to DC and I never can connect with the Marvel Characters. (I'll admit Avengers was fun to watch, but out of all of the characters in it, I only really liked Iron Man because of Downey Jr and possibly Captain America and Hulk because of Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo, the actors made the characters likable for me. Never liked Thor, always hated Black Widow and Hawkeye... he's just boring)
Yeah I can't pick a favourite story from Batman, The Killing Joke is an amazing story but there's also Longest Halloween, Knightfall, Hush... I've also really enjoyed 'Death in the Family', one of the New 52 stories, that was amazing. I'm currently trying to catch up on all of the New 52 at the minute. One story that surprisingly caught my attention was The Grifter's comic series, you should check that out, I've really enjoyed that comic ^_^
Yeah Superior Spiderman is a bit of a shambles in my opinion, the writer just kind of dropped his trousers and defecated all over Spiderman's good name in that line of comics =S
Aww I was so pissed when they cancelled that show, it was so good, I'll never forget the one episode in series two where the Bat-Family; Batman, Robin, Batgirl and Nightwing; were all fighting together, that made me so happy to see that.
I can't say alot about the live action shows, I've never seen Smallville, but my fiance loved it. I've started watching Arrow and I'm enjoying, I do like Green Arrow.
I can't wait to watch Gotham and The Flash

Ah ok, I haven't seen this yet. To be honest, I don't mind the Majin variations... but the Namekian variations seem TOO diverse, I can understand why the Majins would have a large option of tendril styles but Namekians only have their antennae's, not horns... although saying that they could be references to Tambourine and Drum and the rest of Lord Piccolo's children... I'm still gettin this game, haha

I was hoping for his ultimate deity saiyan cause the one you drew is the infant stage of his full power
the line of this form is almighty ssj then deity super saiyan then ultimate deity saiyan which like your black star mode makes his hair turns white and he gets fur but still god like broΒ

So what I'll do at a later date, I'll do Roken in Ultimate Deity Saiyan form against Lok in Black Star Super Saiyan 3 form ^_^
Also, I know Roken has a massive wardrobe so I hope you don't mind me mixing up a few of his costumes into one on this piece (Again I wasn't sure which attire to use)

Roken's a great character. SuperYuten made a cool transformation for him and I really like his backstory ^_^
Lok's Black Star ability does give him a massive power boost and unique abilities because they were granted to him by an evil Galaxy Reaper. However, the ability does have it's draw-backs. He can only use the ability for a limited time, this is because the Reaper who gave him the powers actually took a piece of Lok's soul and replaced it with it's own malevolent energy. The longer Lok stays in the form, the Reaper will begin to take over his body slowly. So when Lok reaches his time-limit, he has to revert back to normal or else he would die and the Reaper would take control. It also has a 'rebuff' time, he can't use the power again until the Reaper's grasp has gone, which could take a while.
So yeah it's powerful, but I don't like to make my OC's overpowered, I like to give them flaws or weaknesses just to make it fair, if you know what I mean ^_^

Cool! Our form are really alike!almost twin like except ultimate deity saiyan cant open holes to different dimensions.the stat boosts are similar between our forms if you could say I mean both yours and mine give a tremendous stat boost although my ultimate deity saiyan all the stats rocket through the roof especially defence durability and strength!
and they both have a time limit although ultimate deity saiyan eats up your energy like its at a buffet so much to a point were your completely immobilized and cant move so he has to finish fast or the emeny will most definitely kill him
and we both have a rebuff time except ultimate deity saiyan cant be used for another 3 or 4 months cause the saiyans body needs to recharge by eating and resting
Although ud saiyan has one fatal weakness....the form eats away at the users energy and if taken too long can eat away at your life force so you see its not overpoweredXD
