No, because Planeswalker attack assignment takes place before damage would go to the player it never activates the worm's doubling effect.
However, other redirects such Pariah's Shield would be simultaneous with the damage going to the player so would activate the doubling effect as it was redirected.

not really, but some cards like "Lightning bolt" can allow you to target planes walkers, IDK about creatures like this triggering the effect...its hard to explain lol
