Medley was a little unnerved at their dry and whispery voices, and moreso when they called her by name... it was the wrong name. "Fanfare...? No--it's Medley."

The one closest to her laughed a little: "Sh-sh-sh-sh... Fanfare. It isn't, then is it? Sh-sh-sh... We will trade."

She was concerned then, instead of unnerved. What would these strange folk want? They didn't seem like money was important to them. But the one nearest bobbed forward and tugged gently at one of her headfeathers. "Your colours..." it said.

Well... alright. It would pinch a little, but but she could spare a couple. It was a deal.
