This is absolutely fantastic. I'm actually learning how to do this in my photography class at the moment. I'm so much looking forward to trying it out!

Wouldn't you get a negative if you just used photo paper? Was it a special type?

tonyalmond In reply to toastperson [2010-02-27 06:04:31 +0000 UTC]

You're right. It was a negative, but when I scanned it into the computer I inverted it to get a positive image. Other than that nothing is edited.

Pinhole. Awesome! What a magnificent example of what you can do with pinhole technology! I really like this, good work. I'm about to learn pinhole in a Photo class I'm taking, I hope I can get some good results as well.

Very interesting shot. Love the grid.. I've yet to take any shots with a curved pinhole camera. I should try someday.

You right. A good darkroom is hard to find. I'm lucky to be able to use the darkroom that is in my school. Good luck with finding one.

i'm trying to make a pinhole camera out of a pringles canister. So do I only make cut one square in the middle and place my foil with the pinhole in that area?

thank you. it's real easy to make your own pinhole camera, there are directions all over the internet. i wouldn't do it unless you have access to a darkroom, it's necessary to develop the photo. however it's something i think everyone should try at least once.

yayy! thanks tony.
we should make it a date

first, you can teach me your masterful ways of pinhole cameras.
soon following with a few cups of tea (& you'll have a choice between English or Japanese tea since I enjoy both (and if you don't like tea, then you can act like you're taking sips of tea)).
and then enjoying chocolat covered biscottis while discuss how beautiful the weather is.
