wow, i took forever to respond. my bike is what we refer to in holland as the 'oma fiets' - the grandma bike. i really don't know why but it could have something to do with its distinct lack of badassness. it looks like this - [link] and it has a basket in the front :]

I understand the slow response- the "DA inbox" system can be a little lacking.

Anyway, how are the roads over there in Holland/Netherlands? (I must admit, I am not exactly sure where you live.) The roads here in San Francisco are very hilly so a bike like that, though comfortable, would be VERY tough to get up and down those hills... but I am sure the basket in front would help scale those steep streets!

oh yeah, in holland we love bikes because this country is SO FLAT. there are almost no hills at all. it's insanely easy! that's why we have these city-style bikes (like mine) that only have one gear and are pretty heavy. biking uphill on my bike would be a bitch but fortunately i NEVER have to do it! hahah. omg, can't wait to see those lovely san francisco hills in may... such a gorgeous city.

Well, don't bring that granny bike unless you want to get a WORK OUT! You will be heading back to Holland with some RIPPED legs!

I have a single speed bike and isn't TOO difficult to get around the city. Though, there are some hills I just walk up. Also, it is a lightweight bike so I guess that helps too.

Oh- thankyou. I actually decided on a different color scheme than the one used here. This was kind of a progress shot that I cropped, added some color fx to and posted. We will see how the final looks! :0!!!
