I have recently had the urge to draw a scenary. I started with the tree and I wanted to make that the center of the piece. Once I was done with the drawing and the colouring, I felt that I was finished.This piece was all hand drawn, as usual, but I decided not to touch it up in photoshop. I wanted a simple picture without all the bells and wistles that my other art has. I feel this is the first picture of a new style - a new direction of art. The peice is highly stylized, but I would like to try and mix together some more styles and try something a bit different.
This is where I throw out the bad and plant a new seed. This is where the apple falls far from the tree.

I totally love how the clouds came out! The bright and warm colours look really great! I love the loose and sketchiness to the tree! The texture of the leaves looks especially great! Cute flying tree! fweee! (ok so this is like my 150th comment today I think I'm just finally snapping.... yuahfhgj)

I really liek the composition. The warm color scheme lends it a sort of warm, comfy feel. The area of gleaming light balances well with teh rest of teh image.
