This is a shot from a portfolio shoot. The model does heaps of glamour work and at first was presenting some very suggestive expressions. However we had a talk about this and once she calmed down she seemed to automatically give off a different vibe. It would seem that many of us have a great need to fit in and be accepted. Glamour photography in some areas seems to reflect this human condition. However to me the most attractive and powerful shots are ones where there is no front or need. However especially when a camera is placed in your face it is very hard to not put up some sort of front. In this image Lexy has fully surrendered to the moment and I believe that both her physical look and mood reflects this. As to the title I feel that when we do surrender our need to control outcomes that what we create is far more fulfilling.www.leapoffaith.com.au

she looks relaxed and not 'modeling', so much, that's for sure.
And I think you're right with surrendering our need for control. To me the best of my work as been when I simply find a great model who just fits the concept I'm going for. It makes the work that much easier and it gives me a much more satisfied finished product. I feel like when circumstances and opportunity meet work, then art can be at it's finest!
