"Acacius" Gender: Masculine Usage: Greek/Ancient Greek: Meaning: "innocent, not evil"
What they are basically:
A statuesque race that have purely black skin and all kinds of teeth. In their culture, everyone is good at dream weaving, or nightmare-speak. They're able to do dream/nightmare magic, and do not worship a diety. They have no-real form of government, and their history hides a very great secret. Their language is supposed to be maddeningly complex, and no human is able to understand it, nor learn it. Those of which who try to do so end up, well, going mad. However, these individuals seem to have a very special purpose in this world.

They're not really supposed to have a gender, as there are no gender rolls/really gender-differentiating forms within their communities. However, they have taken a liking to humans and their clothing/etc, so they may wear mismatched clothing, feminine clothing, masculine clothing, gender neutral clothing, etc.
A tribe consists of X amount of individuals. The number however, is never below 3, and never larger than 50. The number of individuals within a group ultimately effect the amount of offspring that is given. The traits of the parents also take a factor within the traits of the offspring.
They all 'form together' around a host. The host is normally a human. Very rarely will you see a host cat, dog, tree, etc. The host ultimately effects how the 'offspring' are 'born'. These little creatures known affectionately as 'kin' start off as a single thought or feeling within the host. They then become sentient within the host's body and mind, and slowly grows up within them. It is very much so a parasitic relationship with them, seeing as their very being is being drained of knowledge, strength, agility, etc. A Kin will ultimately choose one 'trait' from their host and latch onto that. It is not uncommon for the Kin to have the same traits. IE Some kin could choose 'long legs' or 'straight teeth' and another Kin will do the same.

While the host is asleep at night, their mouths are pried open and the Kin are introduced into the world. They will then slowly start to take form, and eventually will reach the tall, thin, stickly-shape that the other individuals have. Their skin is not leathery, nor like human skin at all. It is constantly dripping and has the consistency of both glue and 'goo' combined. However, it is not sticky, nor is is messy. Once the 'glue' reaches the soles of their feet, it is sucked back up into the form, only to slide out of the head once more.
They do not have eyes, seeing as they don't really need to see the world around them. They have incredibly haunting calls that rattle the very foundation of an individual, building, or various area that they're in. That horribly-haunting call will echo back to them, and will allow them to 'see'. It is very much like, if not, echolocation.
Their diet consists of pretty much anything and everything. From concrete to happiness, from the stuffed bear on your desk to the ground beneath their feet, they will consume just about anything.
If an individual is threatened it will not hesitate to posses the attacker's body. Seeing as they're very friendly towards each other, it is not possible for one of them to posses another. An instance of a possession would be if one of them was caught feeding and a child saw them. They would instantly attack the child, either kidnapping it and feeding from it physically, far away from it's family, or posses the child and eat away at it's vital organs, emotion, etc, until it was nothing but an empty shell of a human being.
They are also able to form into 'shadows'. They are able to walk among walls, floors, any sort of surface. It is not uncommon for an individual to latch onto a human for it's food-source, and then take the place of their shadow.
Oh.
They have this hardcore affection for cats.
Don't be surprised if you see one of these individuals with a cat.

Types of Acacius:
- Brute
- Slender
- Lanky
- Human
- Petite

Brute: Will eventually grow into a gorilla-type form. Very similar to the "Tank" from L4D2. Their screeches are ear-shattering, blunt, and single-syllable-d. A "bark" pretty much.Brutes are used for various strength-related activities/etc. They are most likely to choose traits relating to strength and other physical related.

Slender: Tallest out of the bunch, become mildly disproportionate. Very tall body, incredibly long arms and legs, small hands with massive fingers, etc. Similar to "Slenderman." Used specifically for speed and agility activities. Their screeches are very long and drawn out, used to completely deafen their enemies/prey. Their screeches can last for over 5 minutes.

Lanky: 2nd tallest out of the bunch, have a much longer chest area once finally mature. Are the 'stealthiest' out of the types, able to move quickly and hide in shadows faster than the others. Are the least likely to attack a human/etc. Their screeches aren't as long as the Slender, but it's nearly like an opera. Their voice quivers, wavers, etc, and it's almost nightmaric.

Human: The 'normally' proportionate type of Acacius. Can easily become a human's shadow, and is least likely to be 'found'. Can easily find human prey and mimics human speech. However, it cannot speak any english. Any humans who hear it's speech are confused heavily and will eventually turn mad. (Crazy mad-)

Petite: The smallest of the Acacius. Can use their shortness to an advantage and prey on children more. Have a tendency to prey on babies and extremely young children and feed off of them until their prepubescent years. Petites are also the most-easily-bred out of all of the Acacius. Petite's screeches are very similar to a baby's crying, however it echoes within the individual's head. It stays with the individual for well over 2 years.

What can I do with my Acacius?
Once you adopt your little demon be sure to choose a trait for it. IE- Strength, agility, blood-drinking, etc. Please also keep in mind of the host that it was born from. Also, be sure to let them choose some clothing! Kin like the ones above love to dress up. c:
Do art, do whatever! The Acacius is yours. HOWEVER please keep the teeth arrangement!
