So graceful and delicate. Lovely black and white. The black background really makes it stand out and almost glow. Is that what you would call negative space ?

You got this exactly right.The lighting gives it a lovely inner glow. Crisp, but with the proper delicacy. I really like what you did with this. 
(I can only imagine what winters must be like back there. Maybe those gorgeous fall colors you get before it hits are meant as some kind of cosmic compensation. Still, snow is awfully pretty in moderation, and in that it beats the muddy messes we get here in February.)

Thanks Dan, needed that! After years with various Sony digital cameras, many big bucks, I find myself starting over with still life. Very satisfied with my outdoor lighting captures but my tried and true cheapo lighting becomes various shades of yellow. Lighting, flash fill and many backrounds gave me something I feel good about. Thanks again!!! Going to be a long winter.
