Start recently watching some shows on the internet I haven't seen so far. like Chowder, teen titans, the new tmnt show (this is actual in german tv right now, but at this time I'm mostly at the pc) and even started to watch Ben 10 Alien force again, in case something in omniverse re appears I may should know... and still there is so much that bothers me in this show. The biggest problem: Gwen being an anodyte... I know I ranted a lot about that allready, but it's such a terrible decission. Why macking her magic to an alien power, magic is way more cooler, special if you look at the old show:Ben = Alien
Gwen = Magic
Max = Technologie
There is so much stuff possible, so why is magic all of sudden the only impossible thing?
At the moment I'm thinking about a way how to give her magic back but keping with the continuity, for example something like that most of her powers as a kid, where actual magic, but her stupid Grandmother just wont admit it, so she would not using more anything else than this lame anodyte powers. (SHE WAS ABLE TO SUMMON A SNAKE AS A KID, DAMMIT!!)
Tell me how you think about, or if you may have a suggestion.

I never cared much about Gwens anodyte thing but if it helps I like the idea that anodyte's are kinda off magical aliens,like their use magic......I have not watched Alien force all that much so I could be missing a few big details

One of the many reasons I hate Alien Force so much, but they didn't take out all the magic. They kept charmcaster around as a magic user (sort of).

That actually kinda fused it later. Magic does exist and she can still use it exactly as she used to(even uses spellbooks at several times), but being an anodyte meant she could do it at a higher level and just kinda tapped naturally into the mana in the universe, which did kinda help explain why she could best seasoned practitioners with no experience.

Yeah, to be honest I prefer Gwen to have Magical Powers then just the generic Alien Powers. It makes her a bit more, unique, in a way

I'm giving some of my work (original comic) of my theory of magic (not everything, even researched the pocket of Higgins):
Magic is energy. energy that can transmute any physical element. if you see with what tradue ben10 mana, no creatures / scholars / natural talent / etc that can manipulate energy to bend the fabric of reality. Jamadagni Renuka said: you can fold, cut and sew the fabric mutillar of reality or easier. matter can create, dissolve, merge, cut, paste, take from point A to B etc ... (notice I did not say destroy or disappear, nothing espaca to Newton's laws) became clearer?

if you actually study magic you would realize that, the Anodytes are nothing but magic, magic by scientific definition is the act of using mental powers and supernatural energy to alter the physical realm, and there is a reason why she was able to use more powerful magic earlier on, magic takes an open mind and a willingness to except the unexplained, as she gets older unless she was able to keep up with here training and keep her open mindedness her powers would weaken, as shown in the show, and the fact that she was told were her powers come from didn't help any either, it probably made here more closed minded about here abilities and lessened her ability to use "real magic" even more, I say it's a miracle she can use "real magic" at all any more.
I haven't watched the show recently so I can't give a more in-depth analysis ... sorry

I actually think that at some point they said that magic and anodyte powers are actually the same thing, but the anodyte's themselves don't call it magic, since it is completely normal to them

I belive this is correct and I qoute, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" Arther C Clarke. In short, magic and tech are two sides of the same coin. And if it helps what she does sounds alot like Materia use from Final Fantasy VII or drawing on Mist from the recent Final Fantasy Series.

Mostly agree. Well I actual can get used to the actual omniverse version, but all other besides original and the first future gwen are horrible. Gosh, in one UA omniverse they even showed young gwen with this fish lips, it looked horrible.

Because in the universe of Ben 10, EVERYTHING has to be related to aliens. There's no two ways about it.
Also, the show later re-ret-conned this by making magic a real thing that Gwen's Anodyte heritage lets her use (though she still favors the Force... I mean, Mana powers for general combat).

Whats with Paradox? He is no alien? Or zomboso? It was never mentioned (so far I know) that he is an alien. I know its a alien themed show, but making all alien is just stupid and kinda lazy.
Like she needs to be an alien to use magic... Gwen was kinda a connection to the fans, she showed that there are other ways to cool powers than getting accidently a cool watch. But no, now you have to need the luck to be related to aliens... thats disapointing. And the force is lame...

Thanx for agree. Well what can this aliens do? Glowing, flying and pink energy fields. I'm sure with regualr magic, gwen could do soooo much more. I want it back being magic, and not just a regular alien power, otherwiese it's just something that even Ben could do, and so it's not special anymore.

As Nice as it is with Kevin being good,It kinda breaks the reality that was made in the episode "Ken 10" where he was a huge evil villain who was still in the void in the future.

At least she looks more like a frog than the alien force version, in alien force she looked more human, I was not even able to concetrate on the episode, cause I allways where thinking, "is she really the daughter of this frog guy? She looks like fanservice hit her too much".
