Description
Another variation, playing around with my Last Unicorn sketch. The part of the transformation scene that always stuck with me was the loss the unicorn felt...
EDIT: Took some very helpful advice, and I think I am happier with it this way.
Still not sure about the composition, but I think I'll let it sit for a while, 'cause I can't look at it anymore right now. ^^

I've been searching for a picture that captures the Unicorn mid-transformation, physically and emotionally. Yours is lovely. It conveys that sense of wrongness that the Unicorn feels coming into her human body, and the loss.

Good work. One of my favorites.
Constructive Critisism:
I would make the unicorns horn darker. If you can add some texture and color to the piece.
I would also change the composition of the piece. It's a blan composition and if it was offcentered in some way it should become more interesting.
A concrete example: I recently did a piece with a full moon in it called "The Blue Moon". When I shifted the moon to the left of my composition it turned out much better.

Thank you for the constructive criticism! You can never have too much of that helpful stuff.
The only thing I hesitate on is the darkening of the horn. The picture is of/was inspired by the scene in The Last Unicorn where the unicorn is transformed into a human girl to save her life...I wanted to convey a sense of the horn fading out or disapearing, since she is losing it. I will definitely play around with the texture and color of the piece, though, as well as the composition. Now that I look at the piece again, I do see things I'd like to tweak.
Thanks so much for your input, and I'm glad you liked it!
