My part of the art-trade withThis is her OC Sarah Caultry (who is delightful, btw) and her special one, Disney's Professor Ratigan.
This was a lot of fun, and I'm really happy with the outcome.

The dress is just very epic, I can't stop staring at it!

I had a lot of fun, which is so incredibly important. I was worried in the beginning that Ratigan would be a bitch, but lo' and behold. He was very easy to work with!
And her dresses are always fun to play around with. With Sarah I can always go into full Victorian-mode! Even better, I can go all full-Victorian on a very busty and hourglass-shaped female, which I honestly really love! Love drawing women, man! They have such amazing shapes, all of them!

The lighting on this is fantastic. Β The strong points of this piece are the following, body language, lighting, color palette, expressions, and shading. Β The only thing that is a bit off putting is Lady Caultry's lips. Β I know we are going for sexy, but she looks like she's had a bad experience with botox. Β Yet, that is not a technical problem rather just a design choice. Β The strong point on Lady Caultry is how you rendered her dress with the bustle and keeping it in line with the costumes of the 19th century. I can see where she is wearing a corset and the "hourglass" figure. Β She has the big "Gibson Girl" hairdo, which is nice and adds character, along with the heavy lashes and lowered lids. Β I would have gone finer with the highlights on her hair, as in using a smaller brush and a bunch of smaller strokes to give the impression of "strands of hair" lit by the moon, I would have also dropped some cooler lights on her bustle and hair to show the back light of the moon in the foggy atmosphere. Β

Excellent points you come up with. Yeah, her lips does come out naturally, which I blame on the previous female-mice I've drawn in profile. None of them had lipsticks, so I never had to bother with making the particularly feminine

I tried as best as possibly, to convey both their sly'ish manners, whilst still keeping it romantic and playful.
