Description First time I've drawn Velma in her famous orange turtleneck... with a twist.

Character, depth, and integrity. This is no mere drawing. This is an illustration of the highest order. With one image you've created a story. You have shown us all in itelligent, charming, beautiful young woman without her showing off any flesh. That is a rare and wonderful gift. The expression on her face and in her hands speaks loud and clear thought not a word is written or said. My advice: stick with this character. Develop a story. I am already emotionally invested in her and interested to see what else will happen. You've already got the makings of a good story here.

She looks 100% like one of my lecturers from university, that's uncanny. Very nice work!

You know, the knit hat really works in a winter setting.

Have to wonder where she gets giant sweaters like those though

Stores, would be my guess Or knits them herself, or get someone else to do it. Not that hard to ind giant sweaters like these

Well I suppose you're right. Β Though the sweater does hide her body type, whether it be petite or plus size.

I adore this outfit!

The matching colour in the cap and boots, the bright sweater that looks so soft (I looove the pattern in it), the yellow skirt peeping under the sweater...

The combo is soooo Velma yet distinguished because of your art style!

Also the little extras you gave in her hands speak so much about Velma's personality... Awesome work!

Thanks - I did mess up on the 'skirt' as it was supposed to be a part of the shirt, and not a separate entity, but I forgot to change the colour to orange

But well, if it works, it works.

And yeah, I like to add small details in these pieces, including background-photos on her phone and such

I really like it...since you asked for critique here is the only thing I really noticed: I feel the foot that is stepping is a bit off...but I'm afraid I can't offer any help fixing it....perspective is my nemsis

Yeah, the foot and the hand with the phones were complete and utter bitches! It was SO hard, and eventually I gave up, and covered it with shadows

Yeahh...I know those feels...happens whenever I have to draw an arm reaching out (the hand is close to the viewer and the forearm is farther away)
