Description

I prefer to do art of characters that either I came up with myself or that are underappreciated, but sometimes AI just gives you something that's too pretty not to use. I want to tell you this story and process, just so you can appreciate the scenic route:

1. I drew (yes, really, *I* drew) a wonderfully horrible Kaeko from the Grudge. I'll throw it in comments if you're really interested.

2. I ran my Kaeko drawing through Lunapic and the Candy filter, because I suck at coloring and it gave it that extra bit of trippy awful.

3. I ran my Lunapic filtered drawing through Meitu, and Meitu gave me a gorgeous autumn colored Chinese style painting.

4. I ran my Meitu generated Chinese style painting through Leonardo and leaned into the autumn theme a bit.

Leo was giving all kinds of great stuff when I let it run wild. Its great when you have a vision, or even when you improvise with something you weren't really going for. But what got me into AI, and keeps it fun, is when you let it interpret (or misinterpret) something and give you something you wouldn't have even thought of.
