Description Yaaay!!! I successfully drew a dryad that's more of a pain in the ass to draw and color than Miriya!!!

Anyways here's a long overdue bramble dryad that I sketched and inked while out of town this past weekend.

Mirtha is one of the three dryads Nikita knows well, she's around 150 feet tall and lives in the Misty Glade, her two types of vines are a serious danger for human sized prey in that area, creating a roughly one thousand foot diameter death trap. Her major quirk is she usually looks annoyed even when she's genuinely happy, whenever she does manage to smile it's always perceived as a menacing one.
She generally has a positive and thoughtful attitude but this is often misinterpreted, though if someone wants something from her she often wants something in return. If the return was more than she bargained for she'll try and hide her excitement by looking away.

She uses her vines in a variety of ways like using four strands of her vine like hair to create a top for herself. The same four strands wrap around her neck and travel between her breasts to just above her stomach which subconsciously palpates her stomach after a meal. Two bramble vines are dedicated to form a basket which she uses to hold the ends of her vine like hair. Another more unnerving feature of hers is a carnivorous plant on top of her head, she can either close it for holding someone in it, or close it and retract it into the stem to digest them. All of the nutrients go to her hair but the digestive enzymes aren't enough to digest bones. So when she opens it back up, it will spit out a bleached white skeleton. She will either discard skeletons or consume them to extract the remaining nutrients, though not the most flavorful of things...

While she does eat human sized prey, she prefers duiker. Indigo who knows her well had to negotiate the release of a couple human sized classmates which she held in the plant on her head. Each time the sphinx returned with duiker and the dryad quickly released her classmates usually muttering a word of thanks with a lowered head. Living in the Misty Glade she knows her share of mist elves as well as other predators that live in that region. Often when other predators visit her she'll clear a path through her bramble vines though she does this by raising them into the air around them. While she means no harm, more than often it's a bit unnerving for her visitors...

Might think up some more on her later.

She could always use nutrients for her hair by digesting someone in the carnivorous plant on her head.

I am immune to acid, so I will survive but I do have glands on my neck that can release nutrients at varies amounts
'Walks to her'
'Waits'

Wow, where to start! I love the prickly theme, running from her design even to her constant annoyed expression! The vines forming her hair are a great touch, they must have taken you ages. I like the little carnivorous plant on her head too, a nice little symbiotic relationship there. Overall, very well drawn and very well thought out!

Ahhh thank you very much! Karbo actually pointed out her ironic name, Mirth meaning amused. Which she is not. XD
Her hair wasn't nearly as much of a pain as her thorny vines though, it was a nightmare.

Thinking of a possible pic of her holding someone captive in her flower while she waits for a equal exchange for their release, "Well... You have to the count of 1800 before I'll start thinking about digesting you... So what would you like to talk about in the meantime?"

Four strands meaning four individual hairs? Are her hairs thicker than a human's? Because I know four hairs wouldn't cover my nipples even halfway.

They're pretty thick for strands of 'hair'. Human size comparable to thing braids or dreds, and each one wraps around her twice.

How long does it take her on average to wash her hair?

Just a rain shower and she can shake each individual vine dry if she wanted to.

You still gotta play with your hair a lot, even if it last hours.
