That might not be the exact quote, but it went something like that. I wanted to do another Star Wars manip, one with a battle. I was looking for stock for it, and I found Jade's evil sorcerer looking picture. The moment I saw it I wanted to make it look like a Sith Lord. Hope you liked Darth Maul. Not his tattoos, but I tried to do something similar. Never mind that I used Jade's stock for two seperate characters... I did have to use reference for the Imperial Cog... and it's a good thing that it was supposed to look worn off, because I don't do very good imperial cogs.
So the idea for this picture is that it takes place sometime after the empire has fallen and the Sith are rising again. Not sure when, exactly, since I haven't read Legacy yet. But yeah. Sith Lord has an apprentice who gets challenged by a rival. Rather than taking a second apprentice, he decides to let them duel it out.

Hmm, not sure. I don't think I fully developed much story in my head past the initial idea, so at the moment, either of them stand a pretty good chance.

This is deliciously creepy looking, and I love his tattoos. Sith get the coolest tattoos. I think that's the only reason I'd go dark side... for the tattoos.
And I love the way you've used the background and foreground as well. (So ditto to what the others said

I enjoyed doing the tattoo design, I think this one turned out the best of what I've attempted so far.
