Description
In Alexander Dumas' book Camille, the famous courtesan would wear a red camellia blossom when she was on her period to discreetly notify her suitors, and a white one the rest of the time. Kinda weird, considering they're a late spring flower that falls whole to the ground within a few short weeks :/
