Description I don't think i've ever seen a spider that's folded itself like this to look like this.

It wouldn't help the focusing either way if I were to off set it.

Maybe I'm confused but I simply do not understand... What do you mean by the whole "if it's offset the focus won't work" thing, because I just don't get it.

By "focus" do you mea visual focus, as in what the viewer looks at?

You are asking for two things that won't mesh, I cannot have the spider more focused if it's off-centered.

My camera works so whatever you are pointing at that it's going to focus on that, it doesn't know what you want as the subject.

The S5100 has manual focus, not just center AF.

Very cool shot. Though, the spider is right dead center... a typical no no of composition.

And Emad already noted the focus issue. Try seeing if you can close another stop down or something?

I like how the web is there too, very cool.

lovely shot. It would have been better if the spider was more in focus... but I know that's tough to do with most new digicams
