The general shape of his shorts looks like a kilt-shape. Brendon's double pants look less...weird because if you consider Hoenn's wilderness, the double pant can save a lot of mud and scratches.
Actually I think it's just his hair that's bothering me o.O He looks like a girl who is a tomboy.

Haha no kidding! Though there are people who call themselves "fans", even though they refuse to buy some of the new games. Only true fans would buy every single entry xD Though I'm actually rather new with this, I only started keeping up with pokemon since diamond and pearl, but when I was little, I sorta played some of the old stuff.

Yeah, it angers me to see some people hating on the new generation when they don't even give it a chance. First Gen. had flaws too! Seriously, they're okay with a Pokemon that's literally a Pokeball, but none of the new ones? Oh, and don't forget the magnet that evolves into...oh wow, MORE magnets! Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the old Pokemon at all, but people need to take of their nostalgia goggles.
