I know! And I love the way the light filters through the air bubbles! Joe and Gomamon were always two of my favorites due to their water affinity and their unique, jabbing and joking relationship. I was one of those kids who always wanted Gomamon for a partner when I was a kid.

No kidding! He's the only aquatic fighter of the Odaiba Eight, and he's got the best personality. He's sharp-witted, sarcastic, and always has a smart remark up his claws.

And his face is so expressive! Gomamon is still and always will be my favorite of the original partnered Digimon. His sarcasm, jokes, and overall larger-than-life personality were what made him a perfect match for Jo. When I was a kid I was always saddled with a lot of responsibility, so I know what it's like to live a childhood feeling like you have to be the stick in the mud type of person. Gomamon's live free personality is the perfect cure for that. I hope to see more character development with him and Jo in Digimon Adventure Tri!

I know! The best part of the piece are Jo's eyes. They show the wear and tear of growing up, leaving behind his best friend time and time again, and how he wonders how much more he can take; how long he'll have to keep fighting, if he'll ever be able to walk away from that life without killing off a big part of himself. He has the face of a warrior who has seen too much destruction at too young an age. It's the look I've seen in my friends' eyes when they've come back from war. And Jo has effectively been a soldier, fighting to save two universes, and having to bury some good friends. If I had to describe his personal journey, it's that of a soldier with his back to the wall. He bends, but he never breaks.

WHEN HE HUG GOMAMON IT LOOKS LIKE ALL HIS STRESS RELIEVED OH MY GOD MY POOR SENPAI NEEDS A BREAK (seriously, born in a family of doctors isn't an easy life) . ALso did u know that the second movie will be about him and Mimi, and Gomamon finally gets his final evolution Vikemon. Awww yisss.
