I was thinking how Joker is usually the only one to call Batman pet names and how Batman tolerates it. So what if another of his foes called him a pet name? would he tolerate it.... in my minds eye....no.I think scarecrow thinks that Joker does it to annoy bats or to see what makes him tick, and he does but theres also something else to it. Scarecrow thought if Joker can get away with it... why can't I. It's not the same. Poor scarecrow he just doesn't understand.... and nor does Batman fully realise himself why he'll only tolerate it from the Joker.
