Description
Put a heart on your page, a heart on your pageLetβs make it official.
Baby you and me, you and me
Facebook official.
Haha! Inspired by the new boy band, Heart2Heart. I have seen their video clip for Facebook official almost 50 times. I am in love with how trashy it is, and its trashiness awesomeness.
I put the video clip up for my students to watch and in the projector it looked like the boy's clothes were glowing. I liked that effect.
I want self-illuminating clothes!!!

CS or Elements? I use elements and I'm trying to find out how to make the glow work.

I have never used elements, but try Gaussian blurring the layer on top and then setting it to screen.

Thanks. So it's just a matter of duplicating the layer of the item I want to make glow, and then it'll glow by using that?

That is one way of doing it. The other is to go to layer effects and apply and outter glow around the edges. Again, not 100% how elements works but these two methods work in photoshop.

Well the Gaussian Blur works on Elements but I can't find layer effects anywhere.

Go to
Layer
Layer Style
Style Settings
Glow (check box)
Inner and Outer Glows - adjust until happy. To adjust after applying - Right click on shape in document or double click "fx" on layer in layer panel.

And what do I do if Layer Style is greyed out?

That's a good question - what kind of layer is it? - what's on the layer? No matter what i've tried I can't seem to make it grey out!

It's just a normal layer.

i'm at a loss as to why it's greyed out. the only issue i came up with is the background layer can't have styles added. if you're using PSE 8 there is a tab at the top right called 'Edit Full' under that there's a button saying layer styles which allows a drop down box with the styles - which once added become editable.
