All those Ironman pictures below to say...That this whole thing started because I had this image in my mind.
Samus emerging from her powered suit!!!
This latest image is rather crude... for I was using very loose pencil and brush strokes...
Anyways, so, I was imagining how the suit would work. And then, the whole Ironman thingy-ma-bob came up. So, I designed Ironman's suit in a similar fashion. But, I must say, I am more pleased with Samus' suit much much more.
Like I said before, I didnt' want a body suit. So, i had to design exo-skeleton powered suit. But, in order to retain her crazy proportion (check out her latissimus dorsi on all her official art as well as 3d models), I had to make the suit much bigger than how it is depicted in the game.
Also, for this particular image, I tried to keep the desgin of Samus to be more closer to the one from Metroid Zero Mission. But, the design of the suit is still the one I did (very first image from my deviant gallery).

Looking though my old favorites, and I saw this again.
You know what it greatly reminds me of? Nitro from the snes game, Metal Warriors.
Look up a picture of that, and you'll probably see what I mean!

From what I read, it was actually a game made by a Japanese developer, but something happened to it and lucasarts was chosen to produce the English version.
The game actually might be a sequel to Assault Suits Valken (Cybernator in the US), since they are very similar in graphics and gameplay.

The problem is that the sig can't be traced back to you. I read it as ㅈ106. No one would be able to find you with that sparse information.
I mean, maybe you don't really care that much, but I find it extremely important that artists get credited for their work.

I like it! It makes me think of Shirow Masamune's "Appleseed" series. This shows the same attention to mecha design as the work that made Masamune famous.

Though I think you drew the armor a bit too big, though I think the armor HAS to be big (or at least bigger than how it appears most of the time) because otherwise she'd burn her hand while trying to shoot with the arm cannon...

The first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this was "Hey cool, he made the underpinnings/skeleton/frame/whatever a lot like Iron Man's movie armor!"
Second thing was great Samus looked, especially with the pose... reminds me of a certain cyborg from Ghost in the Shell....
