Description
Quick drawing, Quck color slapping done for "GamerZorZ"Unlike my other Samus pics, this is not an actual depiction of how things would work... More of an abstract piece... If that makes sense...
Yes, I know when she becomes a "ball", it's more of an energy force... But, I never liked that premise... Sort of like "alien technology" cop out... Oh wait... Samus' suit is an alien made suit...
Oh well... you know what I mean.
She looks so peaceful though...
sniff....

I was thinking the spark thing in the middle consumed her matter than expelled it, putting the generators back on her shoulders. But this is so serene and beautiful

If you unlock the gallery in Metroid Prime, it actually shows what position she is in while in Morph Ball. Not far off rom what you have here.

Wow, that's wonderful. I diffidently get abstractness of this piece. The Metroid series is one of two of my favorite Nintendo games, the other being Star Fox.

Wow...it makes me woder about a lot of thingsΒ΄. It's like she's inside a chozo egg (since she was adopted and raised by them).
She also looks so happy, as if she's resting from her past life and work as a bounty.
excellent work

As stated, the official explanation is that she is dematerialized... So in the game, she is not balled up like you see here.

And she does indeed look peaceful.

the ball is not that really small, in metroid prime 3 if you stand close to another person you see the ball is around up to their stomach

The codex entry says Chozo matter compression technology, I don't suppose it matters how tall she is, she'd still fit. It probably keeps her facing upright the whole time too, like a nautical compass.
regardless, do you mind if I expand the background and use it as a wallpaper?

I've always wondered how Samus looked like in a morph ball, though I had a different idea from this. I'm thinking of making a comic about this...

When playing Prime, I did notice the animation for the morph ball did have her kind of curl into this position, so I guess this makes sense. And with the suit being conected to her nervous system, my guess is that a lot of the directional and weapon control is telepathic.
Great work, IMO.

Very nice illustration! Of course, in the first Metroid game it was obvious she really was just rolling up in a ball. It was only in all the subsequent games that they changed that.
