Description
New take on one of Amanda's earliest outfits.I am desperate to get Amanda and the girls out of the studio this year and into some more elaborate settings for a story or two. Nonetheless all of my characters' shaders have been built around the same studio light set I have been using for two years. After some expert advice from master of 3D I have been experimenting with a new lighting setup that will work better for rooms and elaborate scenes, as well and making everything seem a little more solid and 3d; I don't want to use the word 'realistic' as it always starts a debate. Hopefully I can develop this further (even though it means going back through practically everything and redoing surfaces) - as I want to get the girls into some more basements, jungles, abandoned warehouses and ancient temples!

Thanks. The shoes are not necessarily a fixed part of this outfit, which can go with boots just as well. The bracelet wasn't deliberately omitted - I think Amanda just forgot it that day.

There is something that I always wondered... does she have a British accent? Strange question from left field but she looks like she would have one. Look at her schooling, how much she travels and WHERE, and than there is her connections that seems to be in such high class circles. I see that in Agatha Christie stories. Again, completely random. xD I also have to put a voice to a character or something seems........ off..

Thanks. I work very hard to achieve the right look. Now with these new light settings, I had to make completely new pantyhose shaders. They are still work in progress, so I am glad you like them!

I am using the Omnihumansurface shader now. It's the only way to get the look I want with high levels of UE2 lighting.

No, they are various models from Renderosity. I have customized all their surfaces. Send me a note if you want details of the models used.

I like the way the lighting looks on her clothes and hands, but the shadows on the floor bug me. Hopefully that's just because in this particular instance they are so symmetrical or something. In any case, I encourage you to keep writing and creating your stories, because they are great! Don't get lost in the technical weeds. If your only tool was chalk on slate, the visual storytelling could still be done, just as powerfully. Create, don't fixate!

Agreed. Yeah, this isn't so much a studio lighting setup as a dry run for the kind of lighting that might be in a more complex scene, like a busy room or something. The shadows are too symmetrical here but they would be lost in the background in a more cluttered environment.

This may be my favorite Amanda outfit. The shoes are very much like the shoes my wife wore when we went on our first date. And black tights/hose are always beautiful.
I like what you did with the lighting in this picture. The shadows on the floor indicate two light sources. If you tried to put any of your girls in scenes where they are outdoors or in a room that there might be several sources of light - like a lamp, or overhead light, and a window or doorway.

Great pose and natural lighting setup.
I always find it a hard compromise between setup, lighting, render times and my patience on how many renders I do.
This looks great, and I cannot wait to see what next!

It's Daz Studio. The main light in this scene is actually the Uberenvironment2 light. I haven't used it a lot in the past because it increases render times and didn't look nice with my old shaders.

It's so difficult to get everything just right. I also think it's hard with the Daz/poser divide getting increasingly wide to actually help one another. I cannot afford to jump ship to Daz. Also I am not keen on Daz Studio's attitude to its customers. I have always found them unhelpful and arrogant.
But it has to be said the results look great

You don't need to convince me about Daz's attitude. I am still using Daz Studio 3 as I didn't like DS4, it's cluttred interface, the fact that they pointlessly removed features I liked, and made it horrifically difficult to use all your old content... after all, they just wanted you to rebuy everything.

Yes, its the every 18 months a new figure approach. I use V4/M4 does everything I need. I don't see the point in V6, I'm sure she has extra features but I really don't see them in the end product. Daz appears cheaper than poser but by the time one has bought all the shaders and lights and add ons it comes to the same price if not more. I also don't like the way the content from Daz is increasingly Daz only. I am spending a lot less at Daz now.
Anyway, Harrumph at least you get great art from it!

I love this outfit, and Amanda looks more beautiful than words. I love seeing Amanda. I would love to take her out for a special day out, end up with a meal, and then walk her home.

Oh yes reminds of the first time when i saw her dragged in a casual outfit but with killer tights/stockings and patent pumps with superb shoe footage (camera angles). This one is also cool.
