Hey folks, I think its about time I hosted my very first contest!!!
AMALGAM CHALLENGE
~Entries to be submitted by March 15th~
Prizing: Level 2 (1st place and 2nd place winners) 2 more contestants to unlock Level 3!!
PRIZING
1st Place (1 or more contestants) - Wins choice of one of the two character batches (the 2 components and amalgam for one of the examples)!
- Wins 1 free commission ticket!
2nd Place (4 or more contestants) - Wins character batch not chosen by 1st place (the 2 components and amalgam for one of the examples)!
- Wins a custom character!
3rd Place (10 or more contestants) - Wins a custom character!
RULES:

You are to create an coloured, fullbody amalgam of the two featured creatures in the poster. See the examples I did above for an idea of what I'm looking for. The amalgam must have a combination of traits from the two, as well as a new spin to the design!
Multiple entries are accepted
Anyone is free to join
Digital art is preferred, but not necessary
Submit entries to the comments under "ENTRIES"

Entries will be judged by the following:
Creativity - what makes this design stand out from the rest?
Incorporation - does the amalgam have noticeable similarities to the original components?
Silhouette - Does the amalgam have a unique body shape?
Colours - Is the colour scheme fitting and pleasing to the eye?

Uhm.. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "can't post entries below", I don't think I said that anywhere. There's a comment thread after the regular comments where you post your entries. I'd prefer that you post the entry straight to your DA, but if not you can also just link the art from your stash.

Yep, as I stated in the rules! So long as its a design for the same two amalgams featured (the robo guy and the mammal looking one), you can do as many as you'd like! I'll only choose up to one for prizing however ^^

The amalgam (creature you have to make for the entry) is basically a combined form, or fusion of the two guys nearest to the bottom of the poster. The other ones above are just pre-done examples to show what I'm generally looking for.
If you read what I'll be judging them by, you can get a good sense of what to do. In a nutshell, create a fullbody creature with unique aspects, that also carries noticeable traits from the other two. It'll have to be coloured as well ^^
