this came from wondering "if the new sailor moon anime had an episode or even a little short that was a parody of super sentai/power rangers, what would the costumes look like."

this is what i came up with, keeping the original sailor costume look but retooled into a full body ranger suit. (using the manga/2004 versions has a basis though, explaining mercury's lack of shoulder pads and the

as for the helmets, akibaranger was the inspiration, itself being a sentai parody anyway. venus still has her bow, jupiters ponytail is still there, this time being made out of the same stuff used for cosplay wigs, and moon still has her trademark odango and pigtails, represented by two golden scarves hanging from the "buns" on the helmet. since Ami's hair is short i cant recreate it, and i couldnt get rei's to look right so she just has a black section on her helmet.

the skirt isnt plated at all, instead going with the skirt style used in JAKQ (heart queen was the first sentai heroine to have a skirt, and hers was more... flappy, im assuming to allow for stunts being the costumes werent made out of spandex as they are today as seen here: [link] )

before anyone says anything about the boots not being the same, they ARE keeping in with the original, Sailor moon and Mercury are the only two out of the original five senshi to have knee high boots, jupiter had ankle boots while mars and venus had shoes.

jupiter, mars, and venus still have thier waist band decor. and mars's gloves are the same length from the live action show (opera length)
