Step 2 - "Bond, Nest Bond": Home. Lock isn't even at home in his own head. But he'll stay in the woods a while. (The egg and skull pendant are both there in this step! They're just small, he's cradling them in his arms)

Step 3 - "Parent Trap": It begins to break, which means it is Changing. Becoming. Lock was broken, once. He takes the object back to the fancy magic man.
