I've been putting this off long enough so here we are, the ref sheet for The Storyteller. I've kept a few elements of it somewhat vague, particularly its appearance, because The Storyteller is not meant to be at the forefront of the story but instead a background element manipulating events, and I also didn't want to leave open the possibility of people misrepresenting him. I decided to design his ref sheet to appear like pages from an old book or document, inspired mostly by Call of Cthulu and Gravity Falls, if anybody is having trouble reading the text however, let me know and I'll try and make it clearer.

Race: Cosmic Being

Age: Unknown

Personality: The Storyteller's personality can be summed up as almost being childish, it spends its entire time creating stories with its powers, all of which form into pocket universes. It wishes only to be entertained but its tastes have changed drastically over the millennia it has been alive, while it was initially satisfied with much simpler stories when it was younger its interests developed slowly, growing into more mature stories. Because of this, many have likened The Storyteller to a growing child with its interest in stories changing with its age. Now however its interests have grown darker, the only things it finds entertaining now is the torment and suffering of others and as such all of its worlds have become twisted to reflect this new darker personality. As a Cosmic Being The Storyteller cares nothing for lesser forms of life and views them merely as more things to entertain itself with.

Abilities:
The Storyteller is best known for its ability to create new worlds, known commonly as its stories. These stories form pocket universes within which every element is decided by The Storyteller, right down to the inhabitants that exist within it, the only element The Storyteller cannot control is how those trapped within its worlds act although it can control the world around them and will use this to try and influence their actions. It is also capable of reaching through dimensional barriers, while it mainly uses this ability to interact with its various stories it has recently been reaching into other dimensions to take the inhabitants back to its own dimensions.

Appearance:
The Storyteller's actual appearance remains a mystery, Cosmic Beings are usually massive, planet-sized beasts. The only features of The Storyteller that are known are its pale white hands which are often described in legends about the creature to reach down from the skies and scoop up entire cities within their grip. A lot of speculation has been born of this single attribute with many portraying it as a simple mass of pale arms suspended in space. Others have depicted it as a spider-like creature after the way its abilities are described as 'weaving' worlds like a web, leading to its image as a giant white spider with human-like hands at the ends of its legs. There are many other theories to its existence but those two are the most common retellings, what is known is that it is evolved far beyond humans.

Much of The Storyteller's past, including where it came from or how it was created, is unknown. The Storyteller is a Cosmic Being that has lived for centuries and has crafted many parallel universes known commonly as Stories. It seems to have spent its entire lifetime creating these universes and even now it is unknown exactly how many there are. The only thing known for sure about The Storyteller and its stories are that its interest have drastically changed and each world has become a dark recreation of what it originally was, and now The Storyteller is seeking even more entertainment in the form of denizens from outside its universes.
