Woohoo, it has finally arrived! I was asked by countless people to do this, so I help it helps them. This is a tutorial describing the process of making basic structural abstract art, but the final result counts on your imagination. You'll need to download some stuff to use this, open it up, there is directions. I made this in flash because I felt it was the easiest way to get my point across, I spent atleast 10 hours on this, I worked about 7 hours straight last night! I hate AS.... anyways, theres also some bonus stuff you can view. Hey, I was just trying out your tutorial because this is the first time that I work with 3DStudio Max 6. Anyways the thing is that as soon as I get to the "apply the greeble plugin" part I get stuck. I just can't find a way to do that. Even though I downloaded the greeble from that page of yours, I can't find a way to use it or anything like that. Use the field of view tool. It's a corner-shape in low-right corner of 3dsm screen.

i kno i sound like a complete newb, but i've never used 3dsm before, i'm just starting. how do you apply a plug-in? i have everything, but i haven't the faintest how to apply the greeble. sorry for the inconvenience, if you could help that'd be awesome.

i have one question: how U dit a sound preloading in flash. I'm doin some flashes but I dunno how to do that (I imported sound by actionScript (just to let U know)...).

little prob with both textures youve made i saved them as png's and bmp's and when i tried to open both of them they were either black and white bars or all black ... help?

Just some small words of humble advice. Don't wanna hurt all that time you spent.
Although it seems like a great idea to use a background at least use one that's much more transparent so it doesn't drown out your text that's riding on top of it or at least make it gray. That way you can use dark colors or go with standard black/white/dark grays. That way it's easier on the eyes.
Good going with the flash usage.

Just wanted to thank you man for sharing this technique. It will finally give me a new door to open for my mind to be more creative. I am always up for learning techniques and tips to help export my ideas from my mind to a digital canvas. I have alwasy admired architectual abstract and with this tutorial which I can use as a basis I can now go off and do some crazy shitnit with it. Thanks again for the taking the time out to write this.

You must find the plugin folders that are in the 3dsmax directory, then put it in there, and make sure you highlight thw whole texture link, if not check my scraps
