Edit: before, the hair was slightly cut off so i extended the hair so there wouldn't be that awkward edgethis is a piece that has very special meaning to me and has always been a favorite. it's is a reworking of a piece i had submitted on an older account, and while i felt it was quite good for the level i was at, i wanted to redo it and see if i could work it much better. i feel that i've succeeded.

i would describe these flames are more stylized than realistic.. similar to something you would see in a comic book.

As you are asking for advanced critique, there is one itty bitty thing I noticed and that is the apparant source of the flame in each of her 'areas'

this is another thing that i debated heavily within myself when making this piece.
i guess i went with two different theories or ideas.. but mainly you have to think of gravity. and how a fire looks. you have to imagine that she's litterally on fire. the bottom of the fire is hottest, therefore white.. and if she were standing straight up and she were truly on fire the heat source would always be the bottom.
and the second point i went with was that the heat sources are the 'hotspots' on her body.. the brain, the 'crotch', the nipples, and the tips of your hands.
maybe these are just particular symbols of my opinions and ways of viewing the world and body

i think i understand what you mean, because this was something that i debated while drawing her. But if you think about it, unless you have fake tits held up by puppet strings, when you lean back like that.. to where you're almost horizontal (on that part of the body) your tits won't stay straight up in the air.. so the main meat of her breast on is not visible to the eye
i think most women know where their breasts go when they lay down flat without me having to say so here lol
so ya.. i didn't go with the typical fantasy look of a woman with perfect fake breasts that defied gravity.

I think the reason that it looks so off is that the bright colors stop at the edge of the breast and don't tie it in to the torso area. It's pretty much just a play of the light. That and you can't tell exactly where the nipple is or would be to give depth to that breast. It's nothing you could have done anything about and achieved the same look so no worries about it. I still think it's amazing.
