Description
Dave was in his garden one day, tending to his azaleas and daisies, when he noticed the little Paras that had snuck its way in to the garden. Now, Dave knew that a Paras could devastate his blossoming buds and his mother had warned him that rogue Pokemon like the Paras before him must be removed from the premises immediately, yet he could not help but feel a bond grow between himself and the bug while staring into the enormous eyes of the little bug.
He decided to keep the Paras as his first Pokemon and named him Perry. Dave and Perry the Paras spent many happy days together and their friendship grew. Dave often daydreamed of riding on the back of Perry, clutching the fungi, smiling. He was tragically unawares of Perry's horrid fate that would be caused by those very 'shrooms.
The two friends, one human, one Pokemon, traveled Kanto together. Along the way they encountered many trainers eager to fight and training only strengthened the bond between our duo. Inevitably, Perry reached level 24 and lo! one of his mushrooms began to grow at a ridiculous rate.
Now a Parasect, Perry just didn't seem the same. It was only later that Dave discovered that the great tochukaso on his friend's back drained all the nutrients from Perry and possessed him. Dave, shocked at the sudden loss of his friend, fell into a similar zombie-like stupor and the two continued their journey but without the joy and emotion they had at the outset.

Doug the Drowzee told himself countless times that eating the dreams of humans was wrong. He never did harm to human beings or their subconscious fictions. One night, however, Dave was dreaming a particularly tasty dream, Doug smelt, and he could no longer contain himself. "Drowzee drow drow zee" he said, which translates as "One time won't hurt." And so, using this rationale, Doug ate Dave's dream for the first time. He liked it. A lot. And it wasn't long before he ate Dave's dreams again. And again. An soon he spent his days just waiting for Dave to fall asleep so that he may have another smackeral.
What Doug did not know was that Dave was a lucid dreamer and always remembered his dreams. Those dreams now being eaten, he could no longer recall them upon waking. Thinking this odd but choosing to think better of his Pokemon, Dave chose to ignore his sudden lack of recall. His friends all told him it must be Doug, I mean, who else could it be? Certainly it wasn't Ollie the Oddish, Riley the Raichu, or Percy the Ponyta! That would just be crazy! It could only be Doug! Doug the Drowzee! But Dave continued to trust in the loyalty of his Pokemon. That is, until a certain night, a stormy night, when Doug got a little hasty with his secretive fourth meal. Dave awoke to find Doug in the act. Horrified by what he saw but even more by what it meant, Dave immediately returned Doug to his Pokeball and put him in his PC, where he remained for all eternity (!).

Sam the Slowpoke was too lazy to do anything worth telling a story about. He thought he had landed the easy life when his trainer, Dave, caught him and simply refused to do anything.

Diggie the Diglett had the smallest nose of all the Digletts in Digville. All the young Digletts of the neighborhood used to mock Diggie and his puny proboscis. Diggie spent a lot of time buried alone underground. Finally, one day, he realized that his little nose made him super-cute and in this way he was in no way inferior to any of the other Digletts. In fact, when a trainer, Dave, came to Digville, he chose to have Diggie join his party for that very cuteness. And so Diggie left Digville, the envy of all the other Digletts.
