"Can this wait? I'm kinda busy..."-
So I guess it took me the length of three civil wars and an ice age to figure out that I could remove the "pixley" look by just cranking up the resolution setting. Silly ol' me! (...dag-friggin'-nabbit...)
K. So I'm tying to do more pics of my own characters finally! I wanted to do something that reveals more about the actual character and what not.
Sonya is the mechanical genius in the gang. Anything that's got nuts and bolts, she can fix! (Heck, she built a functioning replica of a Halo Warthog!) On top of being a mechanic, she's also by far the best driver out of the bunch! As such though, she's often got her hands full.
Unlike Camil however, she's not entirely fashionably clueless. She often plays the generic Pink-haired girly anime heroine. The other traits are just little extras. (Like the fact that she speaks spanish half the time...)
First off my scanner is working better now, so this didn't take as long as it could have! Second, completely with the pen tool. Third, little practice with the entire idea of "Cell Shading" which I think I'm finally getting the hang of! And finally, I'm trying out some new eye effects! Not the best, but I'll get the hang of it soon enough!

Amazing anatomy/pose work here, she must be in a real hurry. The soft shading works really well with it as well, there's not a lot of it but it still brings the character out as something which is more than just flat! Great work

Very nice to see a pic of her. The pic itself is very very well done. You nailed the anatomy. She looks proportionally correct, very well done. Lineart is excellent, coloring is well done. Nice shading as well. Definitely works well for this pic. Really like the details, like the power drill at her side and her expression is nice.
The pic looks a little washed out. I don't know if you were trying to soften the pic or something but it looks a little off. It's not too bad though.
Her cell phone looks like it's floating on her shoulder. It needs to be more against her neck and held by her cheek and shoulder. But minor detail. Everything else looks great.

Yeah, when doing this, I realized I hadn't played around with the neck and shoulders like I could have. And yeah, I was trying to give it a bit of a softer look too, with a white gradient... maybe I should 'nix that then.
And glad you agree with the anatonomy! That should keep the people complaining about breast size at ease!

I think the white gradient works well only when you have a background or something. It helps balance it out it seems.
Yeah it looks better balanced. Also her hips line up with her shoulders, that helps a lot.

Anyway, it's always nice to hear some more about these guys. Shoulda' picked something more unexpected than Spanish, though. Tsk tsk.
The picture itself is still good as always!
One thing that keeps bugging me, though, is that it seems like it's overall lighter than it should be. Like...there's a layer of transparent white over it. I dunno, it's probably me!

Well, yes, while that in itself is unexpected, was thinking something a lil more *insert word that fits here* than Spanish, if ya' catch my drift. Like um...uh...okay I don't really know of that many languages. You think of something.

Well, if it helps, the joke is that whenever she speaks spanish, Stryder the hedgehog thinks it's a different language like Tongan or Ukranian, and get's mad at Sonya for it!
