Elden lives in the Elder Scrolls Universe, so he has not and never will be in Equestria or see the ponies from there either.

In all Tamriel pegasus ponies live in the skies. It was said the ponies of Skyrim used to be Pegasus until a path in the sky was opened at the highest peak: The throat of the world upon the pegasus decended and in return for this passage their wings were torn off and they became the earth ponies of skyrim. These nordic ponies take this old story to heart. Pegasus think the earth ponies are foolish to have given up their wings though. (They believe the story a tad too much..) The pegasus only come to the land to trade when they have to, none have ever left to live on the land, for they fear it's differences. Trade items are Pegasus feathers and things only a pegasus can obtain. (Like the hearts and hooves episode the love poison seems very Pegasus involved. A pegasus feather to stir, clouds in which only a pegasus can touch or grab, and obtaining a glow from a rainbow and pegasus make rainbows. So pegasus items are rare potion ingredients.) Weather, sun and the moons etc do not need to be kept in check by ponies, though pegasus could change the weather if they wanted to, though they don't much care for the land and leave it cold and snowy.

Elden was born in Cyrodiil in the Jerall mountains bordering Skyrim. As a colt he played on the mountain alone; exploring and running around on the steep and rough terrain of his home, becoming strong and sure footed. Elden was also exited about the thought of flying, often taking a risky leap on the all too common steep hills and to only fail. His wings would become exhausted and retreat to his sides even from a few shaky strokes. The reason being his blood, he was not a full pegasus for his mother was an earth pony and father being a pegasus.
This may seem strange as I have said pegasus fear the ground below and do not wish to live or become one with the earth ponies. True but there is always a trouble maker, a pegasus broke the rules and would have been delt the harshest punishment: Death. Though this stallion decided to take a huge risk because he would be killed anyway and helped himself to a earth pony before being caught and killed.

Despite this, the earth mare raised her son with love. Though this love was soon changing as Elden grew older and would have to consume more food than they had as they were poor. Elden's mother taught him how to steal. At first it was just food then as Elden got older and better at stealing his mother wanted more precious things like jewelry and septims (coins). As soon as she got the ill gotten treasures she had poured all her love into greed and demanded more, and more. During all this time Elden went from a happy young colt to a cold, sad, young stallion. The lack of love and support of his mother and the harsh disappointment of his wings turned him this way. So one night he left, and never looked back for there was nothing but bad memories.

Elden wasn't sure where to go, though he thought going to the nearest city would help him find a purpose. Elden put on his ragged cloak to hide his wings and set off. He had never gone to a city or too far from the mountain he lived on actually. It was a days walk to Bruma, though he didn't know the way and ended up walking for two days. Elden got lost and wolves had found him, he would have been killed if it weren't for his trick. To put all his energy into one strong stroke of his wings for an boosted jump that was high enough for him to land on a low branch out of the reach of the wolves. Doing this trick has a great cost, as it makes his wings so exhausted they lay limply at his sides and will not have the strength to even hug his sides. Another reminder as he wished he never had 'stupid' defective wings and that he could just be a earth pony. The wolves grew tired of waiting and left and out of the bushes a pony had emerged. The surprised pony was actually a thieves guild pony and had been following Elden because it looked as if he was carrying two saddle bags under his cloak and wanted to steal the goods. Though the 'saddle bags' were actually Elden's wings. The pony was so amazed to see a pegasus he couldn't help but come right out of his hiding spot and talk to Elden. The thief offered to take Elden to town and wanted to recruit him to the thieves guild because to him a pegasus could be a huge asset. Elden did want to leave his thieving life behind but felt that becoming a cut purse was better then being lost and jobless for who knows how long.

In the Bruma thieves guild nopony cares for new members unless they proved to be useful in a mission. Though as Elden entered the guild room the thief who brought him tore off his cloak and everypony saw his wings. This was so he had nothing to hide though they all do not know, he can't fly. They would normally only let you join if you have a cutie mark and see if you are of any use to the guild based on it though Elden was still a young stallion and did not have one yet. They only accepted him because they thought he would be a great asset for missions where he could just fly to a top window or get things done way swifter than a regular pony. Elden knew that he would have to give his all to work very hard to match these expectations. On the first mission completion Elden got his cutie mark: A contract with a dagger; this symbolizes the hard work of his missions and the dagger is the extreme importance of him getting it right.

Elden spends years as one of the best. He does his missions alone and gets them done swiftly and accurately. Everypony thinks its all easy for Elden and they sort of envy how "All he has to do is fly up through a window without even touching the ground grabs whatever he needs and flies back all easy as pie". In reality he is putting 100% in his work and no matter what can't say anything about how its the opposite of what they all think. All this attention is finally noticed by one of the elite members of the guild. A shadow scale Argonian that would love to have Elden on his side. The lizard goes by the name Treads-in-Shadow , he is also a alchemist and wants to use Elden in personal missions for his experimental potions and errands. Elden isn't much interested, though after being requested so many times he agrees to some of it. Elden isn't very happy about the things he must fetch and do along with his regular work because he is getting very exhausted as it is. Tread's strange attitude also puts Elden off so he stopped coming to Tread which ticked him off and he then thought of Elden as a stuck up pegasus that can do whatever he wants.

Tread set up a final mission for Elden to do. Tread left a note and An 'important parcel' must be delivered by the dawn of the next day. It was to be given to a guild leader in Skyrim so Elden would have to be swift and make it to the other side of the huge Jerall mountains. Once Elden got there just on time but very, very exhausted from running he sat down catching his breath while waiting for a pony to show up. Instead a whole group of ponies came out of the forest. There was something wrong, so many ponies and the look in their eyes was not good. Elden took off and since he was so tired he was easily caught and pinned down. They tore up his gear and then began to do the same with his wings. They pulled and pulled until they tore them off and then retreated as somepony was was heard approaching. It was Tread and he ran to Elden's side. Tread saw now that Elden was dieing and didn't think sending the ponies to remove the "proud" wings off Elden's back would kill him. He wanted to take the precious wings that made life so easy for him and make him work like everypony else. Elden was barely holding onto life, he realized it was just Tread there by him and told the argonian his secret, no reason to hold back anything now. Elden passed away and then Tread picked up the wings he so loved and hated then left.

Somehow... Elden wakes up in a cell.

The ponies who 'killed' him were vampires. They used a spell that gave him a chance to come back to life, but for a sinister purpose.
All around him was bones of ponies from before him. These vampires would 'kill' ponies, take them back to their cave and lock them up and the ponies would awaken scared and confused as they are fed upon every day until they finally die from loss of blood and hunger. Though when you come back to life, you are 'reborn' almost and rarely does anypony remember anything from before they die. After a few days Elden gets a weird idea to use a bone splinter to try and pick the lock of his cell and when he finally gets the door open he makes his escape. Sadly for Elden he is now a vampire and can't remember anything (except for past skills slowly) because he wakes up in a whole new land of Skyrim and no landmarks are familiar to trigger any memories he begins life a new and becomes a whole new pony completely different from his past self.

So I usually draw Elden from before he gets betrayed and killed. So if you see him without wings and red eyes he freakin dead lol.

Just things you may want to know

The three lines on either side of his jaw is stubble not scars
His eyes look like slits when he is older because he has had so many huge disappointments that almost bring him to the brink of evil though that would never happen so his eyes just became more slit like.
Elden was born with weak wings that can't do much at all except for aiding in a jump boost every other day then are exhausted.
In my Skyrim universe earth ponies are darker in color tones that is why his hair is so dark brown like an earth pony. His body is so bright because true pegasus are brighter colors so he ended up all off-white.
Elden has a son, though he did get drunk from time to time when he was younger and he doesn't know until he is 42.
Cain is his son and he was born in the Imperial City of Cyrodiil. Raised as an imperial soldier that hates any troublemakers and has one fully functioning pegasus wing. Cain was born with two but his mother freaked out and cut one off and was so horrified at what she did she couldn't bring herself to chop off the other. Luckily he and everypony else thinks its a sign of luck and power.
The sheet above isn't that accurate for the information is mostly for after Elden is "reborn".
After Elden dies he meets Treads-in-Shadow under a new name and disguise on the docks of Windhelm. Elden mistakes the strange feelings inside when he sees Tread as an attraction and thinks he is in love with this "stranger".
