Before you get riled up, most lombaxes look the same and I've always loved Orange/Yellow/Green and damn it, they have it all.

It might be a challenge to even have a Lombax character for anybody I'm sure of it. Everyone has to deal with Ratchet (protagonist of the Ratchet and Clank Games) being the "last Lombax". Sure, in the 2nd game (Going Commando / Locked and Loaded) there is a female Lombax (Angela Cross ) but she is just swept under the rug. Then Ratchet meets the "Exile" (Alister Azimuth ) in the "Future Series". So it seems if you have a lombax, you get this mary sue cloud hanging over you and it sucks XD; .... Like, they live very, very far away in another galaxy, got exiled, don't get out often and just live on another planet? Or just ignore that even happened sure..

So with all that said above, I've actually had this character for a very long time, like 4 years and without a proper name and story! I kept changing the name and forgetting it, but the past few months I have tried to gather some ideas together and solidify it!

At one time his name was "Arkin" but it just didn't seem to hold well for me. *shrug*
For now it's "Rust".

My main inspiration for the planet he must live on/come from is the likeness of most planets you go to in the original 3 games. Lots of polluted and mutated wildlife, monsters, plants, etc. A used up planet with abandoned buildings and radiation everywhere. I also love Fallout 4 so an abandoned town is where he'd reside. Collecting scraps and junk to mess around with, build up a home, stay safe. Plenty mutated beasts and such causing trouble for Rust.
Years of eating irradiated meat, vegetation and occasional questionably old canned food. Anything to fill his destroyed stomach sure!

Loooooots of characters have glowing eyes in the games (maybe just the old ps2 ones). So I included one of the mutations Rust gains over years of eating/drinking the shitty food of an abandoned planet; Green glowing eyes!

Eventually in Rust's life Agorians (sounds almost exactly like 'Argonians ' from Skyrim haha) show up in a large ship, only interested in finding out if there are huge murderous beasts for their gladiator battles on the un-populated planet. Whether it be luck or for the worst, Rust is running from a large beast; perfect for gladiator matches, at that very instance. The argorians toss some kind of sedative bombs wherever they see movement from high above, then afterwards go see if the catch is worth taking with them. Rust was still very near a large such beast and was also knocked out. As the Argorians got to the beast that gave him such a hard time they loaded it up and stumbled upon Rust. (Most people don't even know what a lombax is). Cruelly, the Argorians thought it would be amusing to toss this "Cat thing" into a match to be torn apart for millions to see and grabbed him too.

Not to say Rust has some kind of natural talent of sudden kick-ass. He lived on a miserable, ruined planet with deadly creatures. They weren't around every corner and he tried his best to avoid trouble when he sees it. They did have a nack of showing up out of nowhere, especially if Rust is far form his "home". Old rusty weaponry, if it still fired and didn't waste the shots or if it didn't fall apart in his hands. Trial and error, he learned to be nimble, fleet, strong and most importantly: Cautious.

So when Rust is woken and forced into the arena, they let out the very beast that was chasing him from before. Now he couldn't just run away like he always had from something so giant. Probably the toughest and worst moment of his life. They didn't expect him to survive, or win the match no less.
He was apparently nameless to the crowd, that happens when you don't exactly ask and just toss a kitty thing into the ring. They instead named him "Rust" to reflect the shit-hole planet he came from. Yeahhh I guess its better for me, so I don't have to give him a proper name...lol.

After that I just don't have too much to add! Story wise.

Rust doesn't know their are so many less Lombaxes out there. He doesn't really care about the absence of yellow-cat-things either. He isn't out there to repopulate, and probably can't do so after being so irradiated. He's not so large as his diet was very unbalanced and out of his control anyway. Can't imagine irradiated food to be very nutritional. His fur is even losing color in various areas like tips of ears, muzzle and fingertips due to mutation and lack of nutrition. Rust isn't particularly the smartest when it comes to advanced machinery and such as he only had once again, trial and error to see if things worked out or just exploded in his face when you have nobody to show you what to do or the lack of anything that wasn't aged with (probably) hundreds of years of exposure. Rust will eat just about anything and is rarely picky, even eating burnt food without a second thought; Due to only eating whatever he could find and kill previously. He loves drinking sugary beverages, its a rare tasty treat to him. Found in old expired fridges of his past. He's a big fan of glass bottles and collecting bottle caps (my real life hobby.. >w> the caps I mean...).
