I know that Cipher is supposed to be a guy, but I like your choice anyway^^
The pencil strokes and lightning on the helmets look fantastic on both characters^^

my biggest argument against this pic is that in the interviews pixy refers to cipher more than once as he or him

But he called cipher buddy, that'd be kinda weird to call a girl buddy...well at least to me it would but I don't think cipher was a girl, cuz at the end where you saw the last part of the interview Larry said "will HE see, if you do see HIM, I have a message for HIM...." but it would be really cool and mind blowing if that was actually Cipher

They loved each other like brothers in the game already, and that makes me think if Cipher was a girl, they would've been lovers with no doubt, like the Espada Squadron were (Alberto Lopez and Marcela "Macarena" Vasquez).
Also, am I the only one who thinks that Kei "Edge" Nagase is everywhere in most Ace Combat games? The way you drew Cipher looks like Edge too β’_β’

... Heck... I thought for a second, what if Cipher was actually a girl? Then that would only mean that at some point, she and Pixy might have developed some sort of romance, but then Pixy fled to A World With No Boundaries... And then lovers find themselves dancing with death, trying to see who wins. In the end, they both take separate ways... Tragic...

could it be that cipher (in this variation of the world) is hiding their gender, and Pixy is respecting that? perhaps females aren't allowed to fly, but cipher sneaks in for not being very female looking, instead more a boyish small man. and even after the conflict, pixy still retains that secret, saying "Yo Buddy"
